A short drive along Mouse's Tank Road. This road runs from the Valley of Fire State Park's Visitor Center to the Mouse's Tank trail head. Mouse’s Tank is named for a Southern Paiute Indian renegade (“Little Mouse”) who used Valley of Fire as a hideout in the 1890’s after he was accused of killing two prospectors and other crimes in the area.
If you are in the Las Vegas area, the Valley of Fire State Park should not be missed. It's a 1 hour drive north of the Vegas Strip off Interstate 15.
