I feel like one of the most amazing parts of being a creator I found is the number of people that you inspire to go out and explore their world. The allure and call of adventure is something I will always encourage and nurture in my friends family and followers.
However, this Mountain Side Rescue was potentially very dangerous Something that's really important to understand is that when you find yourself in the wild places you are quite literally one bad decision away from the worst day of your life. No cell service, no food, no water, no protection from the elements can make for a life-threatening experience no one wants. I'm not going to shit on Rudy here because he's a great guy who just made a gross error in judgment and I hope you all can be a little understanding.
He's a new wheeler and was learning his limits....he found them alright, after exploring a closed-off section of a rather technical trail that was poorly marked for whatever reason Rudy found himself sideways on the side of a mountain where he had to spend the night. I don't know what would have happened if we hadn't been out there camping or the hunter hadn't found him walking out of the forest. Let this be a lesson to all of us never go out alone if you don't know the area, always let someone know where you're going and when you'll be back, always bring clothes for the weather, extra food, and water as well as safety and recovery gear...ALWAYS!
