From any 'position' the intelligence can always look down at all the lower levels, but never up to the higher levels. Looking up, the ignorance veils the higher levels.
The degree of Stillness (the ability to remain as nothing) determines the ability for anyone to 'travel' back up the structure towards the higher levels.
Then, from the newly 'acquired' higher ground, one is able to look back down and grasp the structure of Reality from a higher perspective.
All 'new' ground gained, can never really be lost.
This is what we as individuals are 'engaged' in as fractals of the whole.
This is called the accrual of Self-Knowledge.
The 'end-result' is full recognition of the entire structure of Eternity (aka coming home/enlightenment/freedom/liberation/unification with God, etc, etc)
