This demo reel brings together highlights from multiple motorcycle adventure films shot across North America.
I’m Zach Spence, a Canadian filmmaker and long distance motorcycle travel enthusiast focused on self supported adventure films that document remote travel, endurance, and real world gear use in demanding conditions. These projects are filmed solo, often while wild camping, riding long days, and working in harsh weather and remote environments.
The footage in this reel spans rides from Ottawa to the Arctic Circle, through the Canadian prairies, British Columbia, the Yukon, the Rockies, and across the United States, as well as expeditions through northeastern Canada including Quebec, Labrador, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick. From crisp fall forests to open prairie horizons, snow and ice in the north, coastal roads, and long desolate stretches of highway, these trips capture both the physical challenge and the quiet moments that define motorcycle travel.
Many of these journeys were completed on a Honda Africa Twin and involved full self reliance, including wild camping in hot tents, cooking off grid, managing cold weather, and filming daily in changing conditions. What began as rides with specific destinations often evolved into deeper explorations of solitude, decision making, and adapting when plans changed.
This reel is intended as a snapshot of my motorcycle adventure film work, showcasing the style, environments, and storytelling approach I bring to long distance travel projects.
