Ben Foster and Shailene Woodley, stars of MOTOR CITY, sat down for an interview to discuss their new film at TIFF and making the festival rounds this season.
In #motorcity, Miller (Alan Ritchson) falls in love with a Reynolds (Foster), a local gangster's girl, Sophia (Woodley). In retaliation, Reynolds enacts a frame job to send the innocent man to prison. Life ruined, Miller plots a revenge campaign against the man who took his girl away, and in his revenge, he wreaks havoc in 1970's Detroit.

Director #Potsyponciroli (Old Henry) has made a name for himself as a character driven director who can turn out some amazing performances. With Motor City, he challenges himself and the conventions of filmmaking by eliminating all but four lines of dialogue in the entire film.
During the #interview, Foster and Woodley discuss how the creative process was more akin to creating other forms of art. Foster compares it to jamming with great jazz musicians, while Woodley talks about molding the clay of the film into something special.
