The Mothman is one of cryptozoology's most difficult and famous cases. Although the Mothman phenomenon is often attributed to the quiet little town of Point Pleasant, West Virginia, the case may not be so. Documentation by one of the original Point Pleasant witnesses, the late Mabel McDaniel, suggests that the Mothman, whatever it was, did not effect solely Point Pleasant.
