In this video, I will show you how to master the art of combining multiple Excel files in Power Query by navigating through three increasingly difficult real-world levels.

We’ll start with Level 1, where I’ll demonstrate the standard way to combine perfectly clean files with identical structures, before moving to Level 2, where I’ll show you the workaround for when your files have different sheet names that usually break your refresh.

Finally, we reach Level 3, where all hell breaks loose, and the data structures are completely inconsistent; here, I’ll teach you how to build and use a Custom Function to dynamically clean and transform each file before they are appended, giving you the pro-level skills needed to automate even the messiest data workflows.
