The concept of beauty is quite subjective and it is very difficult to determine the criteria by which you can choose the most beautiful Dinosaur. Some people like the dorsal ridges and plates of Spinosaurs and Stegosaurus, some admire the chic collars of Triceratops, and for some, the predatory grace of Velociraptors and Allosaurs serves as an ideal.
The leader in our opinion is the Microraptor. This ancestor of modern birds already had partially feathered forelimbs and even hind limbs. Recent studies have shown that these feathers had an iridescent black-gloss color. We can now observe similar plumage in starlings. Considering that Microraptors were most likely nocturnal hunters, we can conclude that such feather coloration served exclusively for communication and attracting the attention of the opposite sex. That is, these feathers were just decoration.
