Hebrews 11 reminds us that faith is not merely believing in God, but making decisions based on God's promises rather than what we can see with our eyes. Moses refused the wrong identity, chose affliction with the people of God over the pleasures of sin, and valued God's reward above all the treasures of Egypt. His life teaches us that true faith sacrifices present pleasures for future gain and eternal reward.
The Bible says, "By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter;" (Hebrews 11:24). It also declares, "Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;" (Hebrews 11:25). In a world that constantly encourages immediate gratification, this message challenges believers to look beyond temporary comfort and choose obedience to God. Whether it involves relationships, career decisions, personal ambitions, or salvation itself, faith calls us to value Christ above everything else.
