The Book of Mormon tells the story of 2,000 young warriors who go into battle... multiple times... and not a single one is killed.
It’s presented as a miracle. A sign of divine protection. A powerful faith-promoting story about the Army of Helaman.
But when you slow down and really look at it… the questions start to stack up.
Ancient warfare was brutal. Even surviving a battle didn’t mean you were safe. Wounds led to infection. Infection led to death. And large groups of inexperienced young soldiers didn’t walk away untouched—let alone perfectly preserved.
