I recently published the Mori Girl Ruffled Dress and Shrug patterns for A Girl for All Time® dolls. I had a few requests from my testers and customers to do a video showing how to assemble the Bonus Flower Embellishment that is included in the pattern. So here it is!
I have to tell you…this is more art than science. The first time I tried to make one of these, I just played with it until I got a look that I liked. Although I use the same basic steps to make them, they usually come out looking different from one another. It’s important to note that although I’m going to provide you with the measurements of the pieces I used in the video, you can change these up to get different looks. (Be on the lookout for the highly technical term "scrunching" in the video.)
Measurements:
• Layer 1 – 7 inches long by ¾ inches wide. Go with a solid colour or print.
• Layer 2 – 8 inches long by ¼ - ½ inch wide lace, ribbon or trim
• Layer 3 – 8¾ inches long by 1 inch wide. Use a mesh or lace fabric\
• Optional – lace, ribbon or trim for a tail. Length is based on personal preference!
