Small layout mistakes usually start at the pencil line.
A hard-to-read scale, a pencil slipping off the edge of a rule, or a mark that has to be re-aligned from the face of the board to the edge can all introduce just enough error to matter.
The Woodpeckers Saddle T-Square is built to make those layout steps more controlled.
Its guided pencil holes are spaced every 1/32", so you can scribe parallel lines by choosing the offset and sliding the tool along the edge. The wrap-around reference edge also lets you transfer a mark from the face of the board to the edge in one clean motion.
