"Moonflowers" by meganeko was one of the exclusive songs used in the Geometry Dash 10-Year Anniversary video, and it made me excited about potential levels using it. I'm happy to see a really cool one already. About 5 months ago, I uploaded another collaboration by these two creators, "Trick Room", which was really nice. As a result, I was expecting high quality going into this. It definitely delivers on that end.
This level fits the song very well. That's particularly the case in the first part, where the ground looks like a moon and there are various flowers around as decoration. Later parts also fit quite well, though, featuring stars as the main motif. I like how this creates a subtle theme from start to finish, tying it all together very nicely. Not only do specific art fit the song, but so do the color changes and movements. 0:45 is a good example of this.
Unlike "Trick Room", this is around an Easy Demon in difficulty, so I was able to beat it myself. It's always nice to be able to comment on the gameplay too. For the most part, I found this quite enjoyable and clear, but I will say that the dash orb usage was a bit weird from time to time. That's probably just about personal preference, though. All in all, I think this deserves an Epic Easy Demon rating. It's a very cool collaboration by two creators I discovered in late 2.1, and I'm excited to see what they do in 2.2!

I originally saw this level due to its amazing car outro, which begins at 9:44 in the video, and it made me curious enough to try the whole level. While that sequence is great on its own, theres a lot more to enjoy in this level than just that; theres about 10 minutes of gameplay first (depending on your pace and not counting deaths). I accidentally forgot to edit out a few deaths in this showcase, but luckily it was only a couple without checkpoints too far back. Its also cool to get to see the little death and respawn animation.
Right from the start, its clear that AwiXan is trying to create an immersive experience with this level. We have a really cool intro sequence with the helicopter crashing, and then were greeted with some text indicating that its the first chapter. There are numerous chapters throughout the level, all with varied visuals and gameplay that fit together. For example, one of the chapters is a futuristic city, and requiring parkour and parachuting as the gameplay makes sense thematically. Because each chapter is executed so well while simultaneously standing out from the others, it makes for a really fun experience exploring the level. The progression also makes sense narratively, making for a satisfying ending once you reach the sick outro sequence.
I will say that the boss at 4:38 was noticeably harder than the rest for me personally, which seems to be the case for other players too. However, I think it makes sense for a boss to be a bit harder to make for a climax, and its not enough to make the overall difficulty very inconsistent in my opinion. With some practice, you should be able to beat this. There are plenty of cool touches I didnt show in this, which you can find if you try this yourself. I definitely recommend it. Once rated, this should be a Medium Demon in difficulty and Legendary at least. It may even get a Mythic rating.

This is my first upload of an entry to the NCS Gauntlet Contest. Since I will be judging for the contest and creators still have time to edit their levels, I will not be reviewing the level in this description as I normally do. Its very fun to see entries starting to be finished, though. There are plenty of cool progress videos that Ive seen on YouTube, and Im excited to play them and all other entries once theyre done. I will try to upload as many as possible on the channel before the contest is over. Let me know in the comments if there are any specific ones you want me to upload right now. Im also curious what you guys think about this entry.
