Steven Strauss invited the audience to bring in their ukuleles for Steven to try to play. Here, Steven has a go on a dust-covered Martin ukulele from the '40's. Friends of Old Puppy play Mood Indigo. Mood Indigo ("Dreamy Blues") was written around about 1930 with music by Duke Ellington and Barney Bigard and lyrics by Irving Mills. Lyrics are not used in this performance. The Friends of Old Puppy features Steven Strauss on acoustic ukulele, Billy Wilson on (Risa) electric tenor ukulele, Ed Johnson on wash-tub bass ("gutbucket"), and Cynthia Wilson on the drums. This music was recorded on April 9, 2011.
