Montenegro has become the latest trendy destination for German tourists. This is a godsend for the country, given the impact the war in Ukraine has had on tourism, previously from Russia, Ukraine and Turkey. This small Balkan state has a bright future and is a candidate for EU membership, although problems with infrastructure and corruption remain.
