Before revisiting Glorious Heights on a national 10th anniversary tour, Montaigne sat down with Australian Musician editor Greg Phillips to reflect on how both the album and its creator have evolved over the past decade. Looking back at the record that launched their career, Montaigne describes it as a snapshot of a young artist still trying to figure out life. "I was essentially a child," they admit. "That album is proof of how lost and experimental I was." Now at 30, they feel they've found a stronger sense of self, making the songs less about reliving old emotions and more about reflecting on the person they were.
