The channel cat spawn was finishing and the catfish are hungry. I took my brother, Jared, and his son, Gideon, fishing on Utah lake outside the Provo Boat Harbor, where we caught 8 monster channel cats, ranging from 22 to 28 inches.

The bite appeared to coincide with the Solunar Forecast that day. June 24, 2022 for our area. About 9:00 - 11:30 AM.

Gideon learned how to net the fish and had a blast.

We used large Zebco reels.

Bait: White Bass
Rigs: 2/0 Eagle Claw Circle C hooks with a large spin glow. 1/2 ounce weight.
