Monica Correia (99MA, 00MFA) is a professor and head of the 3D Design program at the University of Iowa School of Art and Art History.

She showcases some of her work, which has been exhibited in art and design venues around the world, including London, Milan, and New York. Under Correia’s leadership, Iowa’s 3D Design program was recognized as Best School at the 2015 International Contemporary Furniture Fair Editors’ Awards and received the distinguished CONNECT Award for Best Design Environment at the Sculpture Objects Functional Art and Design Fair in 2014, 2015, and 2019.

Before moving to the U.S., Correia taught at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro School of Architecture in Brazil and designed interiors for stores and shopping malls in Brazil and Portugal.
