New longest level I've completed yet again- by almost double, even, and what a level this is. It's no secret how much I loved REDEEMER. Despite being just about a year ago that I beat that, it has remained my favorite level in the game. It also led me to some other great levels prior to it as it was my first time hearing of surveyor. When the first public mentions of this level had occurred, I was instantly very interested to see what would come of it. With how incredible REDEEMER is, I didn't anticipate a level that is almost three times as long could end up feeling comparable in quality, but I think that's what surveyor managed to pull off here. I will admit that it took some time to grow on me- particularly the red ship section as well as the final section of the level, but I've deeply fallen in love with this level as it is. One great thing about its absurd runtime is how much variation the level achieves with it. It really feels like being taken for a lifelong journey in the best way possible. The atmosphere in so many of these parts is nailed beautifully. I love how well everything fits with its part of the equally journey-like music. The feeling this level creates inside as an attempt gets farther in- I could go on for a while singing praises about how great this level is.
Now, I don't however think this will end up topping REDEEMER for my favorite level in the game (reasons I will get to shortly), but it's still going down as one of the primary levels I will remember this game by when I'm finally done with it, and there are a number of things that I do love more about this one. I think it's awesome how non-linear a large chunk of this level is gameplay-wise. Even if I would go for specific routes and click patterns everywhere, it still felt like every major attempt on this was unique. There's also a number of areas where you could mess up somewhere and find a way to save yourself, which I think is a particularly big deal here. And once more, reaching the end section created a feeling unlike anything I've ever had, just totally otherworldly.
As much as I don't want to point out anything negative with this level, there was something very obvious that came to me as soon as my first practice run. Unless you manage to get lucky on this from 0% (which I SOMEHOW did), playing from the beginning is not an easy thing to enjoy. This isn't at all a parts issue- I will comment on the level's balancing in a moment, but my complaints about each section on its own is little to none. They're all fantastic, but if you get stuck anywhere for even a few attempts, it starts to feel sluggish very quickly. I felt especially worried about the potential of dying in the 20s or 50s a lot, so it's important to have everything down very well before bothering to play from the start at all. The one other thing that immediately worried me about this is the balancing. I'm very much used to going for levels with incredibly wonky or just outright lopsided balancing, but I've never found anything as lopsided as this ever, which is especially terrifying given the length. This is the most second half heavy level I've ever played, and the last 30% of the level is especially scary. Apart from the fact that fluking tends to feel amazing, I really am especially grateful that I got away with only two deaths after 32%. If I was not so lucky with any of these close calls I had near the end of the level, there's no doubt that I would've had way less fun beating it, and it's what should be expected here. I cannot stress enough how important it is to spend way more time practicing this than the average level, as if there's one thing that can ruin it, it's by spending too much time at the beginning. With all of this being said, it does make perfect sense to me as to why it turned out this way. The gameplay later on is just more complex and wouldn't be easy to find nerfs to without largely disassembling it, so I wouldn't at all advocate for a rebalance- it's just something to be prepared for.
To sum it all up, I'm ecstatic that this level is out, and it has well-lived up to every hope I realistically had for it. I do think that it's not something that everyone can enjoy beating, but I'm so happy that I got the experience that I did with it, and no doubt do I have a special spot for it. Applause from me once again, surveyor.

![[Outdated Version] Daily Lunch Special by GrenadeofTacos 100% (1.9 Demon)
Hands down my favorite 1.9 GDPS level Ive played. This level blew my mind when I first saw it. Its amazing how somebody can make something look this good using the 1.9 editor. The gameplay is also really fun too. The only issues I have are the 70% wave and the last 2 ball parts which didnt feel as consistent to me as the rest. Although I was annoyed a lot of the time that I played this, it was because I was playing with up arrow nearly the whole time so that was my fault, which explains my high attempt count. Once I decided to stop using up arrow and switched to mouse, I beat it in 1 attempt lol. However, I had to rebeat it because on my original completion the recording was a black screen for the first 6% of the level. It only took me 7 more attempts to beat it again though. When I was playing with up arrow I thought this was harder than The Mine, but now I dont know anymore. I still think this is harder than Figured Circles or Charisma though. I HIGHLY recommend playing this, its incredible.
Attempts - 660 (659 of which were using up arrow lol)
Attempts (Rebeat) - 7
Worst Fail - 100%
Hardest Part - 85%ish ball
Current Placement on the 1.9 Demon List - 73 (Above True Pathos)
Personal Placement - ~67 (Above Figured Circles)
Design - 10/10
Gameplay - 9.5/10
Enjoyment - 9/10
