This is a quick money envelope for gift giving, and my intention was to use it for some recent graduates. But, it could also joke a gift certificate or gift card, and a lovely note for the recipient.
You can make it from any paper you love, I like the look of double-sided paper that is a bit stiffer or card stock.
For my projects I used some non-Christmasy looking paper from two Tim Holtz Christmas 8x8 collections. As the measurement of the paper starts at 7 1/2" (top) by 8", it is a great way to use up those 8x8 papers.
The envelope measures 6 1/4" by 3", and will hold United States Dollars, so you may need to adjust the measurements for different sized currency. Then you may need to start with a larger piece of paper.
The sentiment holds down the flap, and the base if my sentiment is a 2 3/8" stitched circle (second largest stitched circle die from SU) that is stamped and embellished for my occasion.
