RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said this in New York, w TVhile speaking about India’s tradition of unity in diversity.
It is a powerful statement. But it also raises a rather uncomfortable question: how far does this message travel beyond Bhagwat himself?
Because the people and organisations that draw their ideological legitimacy from the Sangh continue to speak and act in ways that seem to contradict it.
Is the goal to portray pluralism on global platforms and majoritarianism at home?
Bhagwat has made statements about Muslim inclusion before. But if the message is really meant to change the politics, where is the change?
