Model Railroading has always benefited from small manufactures, often working from home, who make a huge selection of fun and desirable parts and kits.
Back in the 1950's there were hundreds of such makers. Grand Line, Woodland Scenics, even Athern started as small backyard operations. And most have vanished as the hobby moved on.
But now with 3D printing and laser cutting the cottage industries are back in a big way!!!
