I already beat this 1 year ago, but I was using FPS bypass so I felt like I needed to rebeat it for it to be 100% legit. I surprisingly beat this in literally 1 attempt, without practicing or anything before, so yeah I guess I got lucky haha. That’s an amazing and extremely fun level, play it if you haven’t already! Also, this is nowhere near insane demon difficulty, medium or hard demon would make more sense.

This is my new favorite level, at least in terms of gameplay. I think it’s by far Hinds’ best gameplay, it’s incredibly well balanced, there’s not a single annoying timing or part, and it all flows extremely well. This level does not get boring and is fun all the time. It’s also pretty hard, I think it’s my third hardest demon (Acu, Toxicity, Firewall), and my 10th insane demon. You should absolutely give it a try.

I didnt have much fun playing this level. It is extremely second half heavy, I probably got past 50% 100+ times, with 349 attempts from 0. The gameplay in the first half is honestly pretty fun but the second half is painfully inconsistent and buggy (especially the grey part) which kind of ruins the level.
Visually, I think this looks quite good for its time. I would not recommended playing it though, especially if youre on 60hz.

This level looks awesome, definitely one of my favorite extremes. The gameplay is also quite good, I honestly cant tell which half is harder and I guess thats a good thing.
The first 20% gets extremely consistent, especially the wave. The following ship part is surprisingly hard, especially the clubstep monster at 25%. 25-45% isnt too hard but it definitely isnt easy, I died there relatively often. By the way, I paused the game at 38% because this transition is extremely unfair and pausing makes it significantly easier. The dual part is incredibly consistent and satisfying to play although it takes some time to get used to the ship sections. 55-58% is very easy to mess up, especially the green orb at 58%, that killed me several times. Then we have the hardest part of the level, the UFO: this section didnt seem that hard when I was learning it, but it just never got consistent. Some timings are almost completely luck based, especially the one at 65%. Everything after the UFO is incredibly consistent and it is probably the best section of the level in terms of gameplay. This is a really fun level overall, I definitely recommend it.

Felt bad about taking the secret way, so here is an actual completion of this level.
Nothing much to say about it, the gameplay is really fun, but its definitely hard to learn, that’s where all the difficulty comes from.
As a result, it should not take too long to beat from 0. Some parts did annoy me a bit, but nothing too bad. In terms of decoration, I love how clean it looks and the colors are really good. Keep in mind I had to use the LDM.

The first part of the drop which is just before is probably the hardest. Not sure if this is extreme demon yet but it will be, by far, the hardest thing I’ve beaten. 1300 attempts so far. I don’t even know where to start. I never thought I would be able to beat this level, and I’m just so happy to see that I was actually able to, after 14,632 attempts and a month and a half. This is by far my hardest demon and my first top 20 on the mobile list, jumping from Uprise. Anyway, I think this level is really good. I’ll talk about each part individually:
• The first ship
If you are on mobile, expect to spend most of your time playing this level here. This part is insanely hard to get consistent at: at first, I only got past it once every 200 attempts or so. However, your consistency slowly builds up: personally, I reached my best consistency after about 12,000 attempts, and I kept it until I beat it. I would pass this part once a minute on average, or once every 30 seconds if I was particularly consistent. If you want to try this level on mobile, do not be demotivated by this part, because it is a nightmare at first but I promise it gets way better and somewhat fun. Of course, all of this doesn’t apply to high refresh rate monitor users, as this part is most likely free for them.
• 15-25%
This part is relatively easy, and you shouldn’t die there a lot. However, the wave to ufo transition at 17-18% is horribly made, and it feels pretty random. You can still get very consistent, but it does feel extremely unfair to die there. Nothing else to say about this part, it’s fine.
• 26-31%
This is what most people consider to be the hardest part. The first ship definitely felt harder on mobile though. The timings are extremely hard and unforgiving, but there’s a rythm to it so it gets relatively consistent. The only timing that did not get consistent is the second one, at 27%. I don’t know what it is about this input but it feels harder than the rest. Basically died there most of the time I got to this part. The other hard input is the very last one, and I would say it is the worst timing of the level: the mirror portal and the moving spike make it extremely annoying to do. You can actually get consistent though: I personally used the little dots on the platform to know where to click, but it is still very hard and you can expect to die there quite a bit. Overall a decent part.
• 33-37%
Another very hard part: I probably died there more than I did in the ball part. It feels like you have no control over your wave, and you just have to hope muscle memory does its job. This part was not very consistent for me. Well, the consistency came in waves, which means I would sometimes always get past it and sometimes the opposite would happen. However, this part is really satisfying to pull off, so it was still fun.
• 37-43%
You shouldn’t struggle with this part too much. It is easy to die there with nerves, but those go away after you get more consistent with 0-37%. Fun part.
• 43-49%
This part takes an unbelievably long time to learn. I thought I would never learn it or get consistent at some point. Well, it actually is the easiest part of the level by quite a bit; I would say it is almost impossible to die to it unless you panic and forget what to do. After learning, this part is actually really fun.
• 49-57%
Relatively easy part. Unfortunately, it is also very easy to die to, and a part like that doesn’t mix well with being nervous, which would explain the many deaths I had. The way the portals are placed is a bit awkward, as you can sometimes die if you go too low into a portal. I would say this is still a fun part though.
• 57-81%
I’ll just review those parts at the same time because I don’t have much to say about them. They are all quite easy and very reliant on memory. The only annoying thing is 61%, as it basically is a blind timing. I somehow only died there once though, so it’s fine. Also, don’t be intimidated by the memory cube (especially when it goes pitch black), it is way easier than it seems and the song helps you a ton doing the part correctly.
• 81-100%
What a good idea to have a huge jump in difficulty for the last part! The second half is a piece of cake compared to this. It’s so easy to die everywhere, and you can’t imagine how stressful the last wave is. Somehow, I fluked said last wave and my only deaths were 84%, 85% and 90%. I still like this part, but it is pretty evil to have it as the last one in the level.
Overall, I had a good experience with this, which is surprising considering it took me so long. In terms of decoration, I would say it aged really well and looks good even today. I definitely recommend this level if you want to go for a new hardest demon, I had lots of fun with it, even with some awkward timings and the first part. Finally, thanks to Funky Monkey for all the motivation he gave me to beat this :)

A few things I want to say before talking about the level:
• I now play on a ROG Phone 5, with a refresh rate of 144hz (and the wave trail bug is gone, yay).
• Sorry for the poor quality, I had to use lower quality settings to avoid lag spikes. Will try to improve that for the next videos.
• Sorry for the audio delay, thats not even a recording issue because I experience the same delay without recording. No idea how to fix it.
Edit: Okay so it seems fine on YouTube? I think the YouTube delay and my phone’s audio delay perfectly balance out so it works lol.
Anyway, this level took me 15,116 attempts but I finally did it! 144hz sure made it a whole lot easier: I think this is the hardest demon Ive completed but Betrayal of Fate on 60hz is probably a better achievement. Overall, this level is fantastic despite a few annoying sections and not so great balancing.
The first part seems impossible at first but it gets significantly easier with time and shouldnt be much of an issue after a while. The only annoying thing in this part is the dash orb at 4% which is very, very hard.
The first ship part is definitely the hardest part on 60hz mobile but it becomes much easier on 144hz and it isnt particularly hard compared to the rest of the level on that refresh rate. That being said, 20% can be rather awkward and its the part that killed me the most both on 60hz and 144hz.
The cube part right after is relatively easy but the second blue orb is extremely annoying, almost felt random. Basically the only thing that will really kill you in this part.
The second ship part is really hard on 60hz, especially from 0, but its fine on 144hz. You can still die there because some timings are pretty tough but the parts that killed me the most on 60hz (straight fly at 39%) became SO much easier on 144hz. I dont think I died there at all on that refresh rate.
The wave part...This part feels Impossible at first. I remember spending an hour playing it only to get past it once. Its the main reason I gave up so many times. On 60hz, the first ship felt harder but this wave part was still insanely hard. I practiced this part A TON and my consistency became pretty alright, passing the part about 10% of the time on copies. I got there 23 times on 60hz and couldnt get past it a single time. And then I got 144hz and the difference is MASSIVE. My consistency instantly went from 10% to 85%, and I was then able to get to the dual very often. On 144hz, this definitely isnt the hardest part but thats mostly because I overpracticed it so much on 60hz so it doesnt feel as hard as it should on 144hz for me.
The dual is actually the hardest part in the entire level for me. I died there 28 times which is absolutely ridiculous and incredibly unlucky for this level. It is filled with inconsistencies that made the part almost random for me:
- The jump at 64% was very hard for me and just too hard to get consistent. Died there a ton.
- The cube jumps at 67% are the timings that killed me the most in the dual. I died there so many times and never got consistent.
- The dual wave at 73% feels random. I have a click pattern for it but it doesnt always work, its a miracle I didnt die there from 0.
- On 60hz, the timing at 82% is, in my opinion, the hardest click in the entire level. On 144hz, it wasnt that big of an issue and I didnt die there from 0 so its fine.
- 90-93% is filled with very precise timings that dont get very consistent. Didnt die there from 0 which is actually extremely surprising for me.
Overall a great level with some inconsistencies. With this completion, Im also the first to complete every single SleyGD level including the unrated ones!
