I don’t even know where to start. I never thought I would be able to beat this level, and I’m just so happy to see that I was actually able to, after 14,632 attempts and a month and a half. This is by far my hardest demon and my first top 20 on the mobile list, jumping from Uprise. Anyway, I think this level is really good. I’ll talk about each part individually:

• The first ship
If you are on mobile, expect to spend most of your time playing this level here. This part is insanely hard to get consistent at: at first, I only got past it once every 200 attempts or so. However, your consistency slowly builds up: personally, I reached my best consistency after about 12,000 attempts, and I kept it until I beat it. I would pass this part once a minute on average, or once every 30 seconds if I was particularly consistent. If you want to try this level on mobile, do not be demotivated by this part, because it is a nightmare at first but I promise it gets way better and somewhat fun. Of course, all of this doesn’t apply to high refresh rate monitor users, as this part is most likely free for them.

• 15-25%
This part is relatively easy, and you shouldn’t die there a lot. However, the wave to ufo transition at 17-18% is horribly made, and it feels pretty random. You can still get very consistent, but it does feel extremely unfair to die there. Nothing else to say about this part, it’s fine.

• 26-31%
This is what most people consider to be the hardest part. The first ship definitely felt harder on mobile though. The timings are extremely hard and unforgiving, but there’s a rythm to it so it gets relatively consistent. The only timing that did not get consistent is the second one, at 27%. I don’t know what it is about this input but it feels harder than the rest. Basically died there most of the time I got to this part. The other hard input is the very last one, and I would say it is the worst timing of the level: the mirror portal and the moving spike make it extremely annoying to do. You can actually get consistent though: I personally used the little dots on the platform to know where to click, but it is still very hard and you can expect to die there quite a bit. Overall a decent part.

• 33-37%
Another very hard part: I probably died there more than I did in the ball part. It feels like you have no control over your wave, and you just have to hope muscle memory does its job. This part was not very consistent for me. Well, the consistency came in waves, which means I would sometimes always get past it and sometimes the opposite would happen. However, this part is really satisfying to pull off, so it was still fun.

• 37-43%
You shouldn’t struggle with this part too much. It is easy to die there with nerves, but those go away after you get more consistent with 0-37%. Fun part.

• 43-49%
This part takes an unbelievably long time to learn. I thought I would never learn it or get consistent at some point. Well, it actually is the easiest part of the level by quite a bit; I would say it is almost impossible to die to it unless you panic and forget what to do. After learning, this part is actually really fun.

• 49-57%
Relatively easy part. Unfortunately, it is also very easy to die to, and a part like that doesn’t mix well with being nervous, which would explain the many deaths I had. The way the portals are placed is a bit awkward, as you can sometimes die if you go too low into a portal. I would say this is still a fun part though.

• 57-81%
I’ll just review those parts at the same time because I don’t have much to say about them. They are all quite easy and very reliant on memory. The only annoying thing is 61%, as it basically is a blind timing. I somehow only died there once though, so it’s fine. Also, don’t be intimidated by the memory cube (especially when it goes pitch black), it is way easier than it seems and the song helps you a ton doing the part correctly.

• 81-100%
What a good idea to have a huge jump in difficulty for the last part! The second half is a piece of cake compared to this. It’s so easy to die everywhere, and you can’t imagine how stressful the last wave is. Somehow, I fluked said last wave and my only deaths were 84%, 85% and 90%. I still like this part, but it is pretty evil to have it as the last one in the level.

Overall, I had a good experience with this, which is surprising considering it took me so long. In terms of decoration, I would say it aged really well and looks good even today. I definitely recommend this level if you want to go for a new hardest demon, I had lots of fun with it, even with some awkward timings and the first part. Finally, thanks to Funky Monkey for all the motivation he gave me to beat this :)
