One of the most memorable moments from Moana is when Maui finally catches Heihei... and nearly turns him into a snack.

This shot was animated by Adam Green and features an early version of Heihei before the character was redesigned into the goofy chicken audiences know today. In this original version, Heihei was much smarter and clearly understood that Maui intended to eat him.

This video showcases the shot progression from the animator's blocking pass to the final animation seen during production, offering a glimpse into how the performance evolved throughout the animation process.
