I'm finally strong enough to shade the whole San Marco plaza. Absolutely love those archway corridors. With proper lighting they make for some dramatic scenes.
A test run for the newest AlternativeFull v1.02. This took 17 different iterations of the shader just for the stage alone. That's 17 different normalmaps. Totally worth the effort.

This may answers some questions, may also raise more questions. Either way I always wanted to show the phase before MMD was upgraded into Ray-MMD. I didnt alter any of the original textures; they are all the same ones all the way to final render.

I used real water this time yay! an ocean of it. While I disabled screenspace reflection because it looks bad with this style, I disabled bokeh because I want people to see everything. Bokeh actually works really well with this shading style if you dont have to deal with massive flying objects. But the hardest part of this project is definitely choosing the perfect model with supreme moe powerlevel strong enough to represent Rie Murakawa. Phew!
