For the end of the movie, I was asked to create Tempest's magical fireworks. Up until that point, Tempest's magic is disorganized and chaotic. The fireworks is a turning point. Her magic has now turned into something beautiful rather than chaotic. I used a small amount of particles to complement the FX but the vast majority of the FX animation is drawn frame by frame.
