![Jim Steinman and Michael Wellers MORE THAN YOU DESERVE - 1973 Workshop @ Public Theater (Restored)
Brought to you by https://mlbfcollection.blogspot.com/
Finally, after a very lengthy wait, here is the recording from the April 1973 workshop production of More Than You Deserve. This play was written by Michael Weller, with music and lyrics by Jim Steinman and was developed between 1972 and 1973, and famously during the early auditioning stages, Jim Steinman first met Meat Loaf. This play is as gruesome as The Dream Engine in my opinion, and just as deserving of praise. This recording sadly distorts in many places, but is higher quality than the preview tape so we should be thankful for what we have.
Note: It is likely my scene selection timestamps arent entirely accurate as the scene chronology in the different iterations of this play confuses me, even with the programmes as a guide. With all that said, enjoy and as always let me know what you think.

![Jim Steinman - 2003 Kerrang Session Compilation (Interview Song Fragments)
Brought to you by https://mlbfcollection.blogspot.com/
Hello there! This will be ideal for many Steinmaniacs. This is what I believe to be the final recording chronologically of Steinman on piano, and briefly vocals during Two Out Of Three. This is a compilation of the fragments of songs during the 4 hour interview conducted by Kerrang Magazine in 2003, which if you havent seen I recommend watching. I uploaded it years ago in two separate parts, and plan to restore it eventually.
The image in this video is a mockup of a restoration attempt. These fragments are brief and this may not interest some, but the time stamps are rather definitive as usual lol. Enjoy! I am thinking possibly of putting all my restorations from over the years up for download on my site but I dont know if I will get away with that, what do you reckon?

A very energetic version with lots of improv and screaming from Meat here, this is from the first night of the 2nd leg of the Everything Louder Tour, which began only 3 nights after the end of the 1st leg (the touring and promotion was continuous from September 1993 until December 1994) and as a result Meats voice was heavily damaged by this leg, however there are still many great performances that I shall post in due time.

This is the debut concert of Over The Top, originally meant to be a one-off, a larger band was compiled a few months later and performances continued in June in Uncasville, CT. This concert was the live debut of three songs, and notably features a fantastic rendition of Its All Coming Back To Me Now featuring original pianist Steve Margoshes and original vocalist Elaine Caswell. I will gradually restore the other recordings of Over The Top and the later iteration from 2006, The Dream Engine, but until then enjoy this treat from January 31st 2005 at Joes Pub @ Public Theatre, New York.
All music and lyrics by Jim Steinman, music to A Kiss Is A Terrible Thing To Waste by Andrew Lloyd Webber.

![Jim Steinmans BATMAN - 1998-2002 Demos (Deamplified and Reordered)
Ive been meaning to post this for about uhh... three years - but here it is, better late than never I suppose - life has been stressful - these demos were recorded in the early 2000s until 2002, I personally reckon the Steinman snippets at the start of Not Allowed To Love (which Ive taken from the 2 remixes you can find on the Steinman website) were probably taken from an earlier demo he recorded in 1998.
(Upon reflection and subsequent inquiry I have amended the track list to include the almost certain year of recording on each of the tracks, thank you, as always I very well may be wrong!)
Anyway, they were almost peaking so I sorted out the volume, reordered the tracks based more on the brief info Steinman gave us on his blog back in the day - made the songs fade into each other smoother, etc. - and I think its come out quite nice, so enjoy :) These were first released around 2006 although havent been widely shared on here, so I thought Id give my take on them.
Therell be more Meat stuff soon!
