Finally, after a very lengthy wait, here is the recording from the April 1973 workshop production of 'More Than You Deserve'. This play was written by Michael Weller, with music and lyrics by Jim Steinman and was developed between 1972 and 1973, and famously during the early auditioning stages, Jim Steinman first met Meat Loaf. This play is as gruesome as The Dream Engine in my opinion, and just as deserving of praise. This recording sadly distorts in many places, but is higher quality than the preview tape so we should be thankful for what we have.
Note: It is likely my scene selection timestamps aren't entirely accurate as the scene chronology in the different iterations of this play confuses me, even with the programmes as a guide. With all that said, enjoy and as always let me know what you think.
