A very interesting cassette recorder for use by reporters. This unit is a dual-flywheel design I believe, and has automatic level control, limiter, and manual level control. Although mono, it has two microphone jacks to better facilitate a two-person conversation.
This Hungarian tape recorder was made by Mechlabor (Mechanikai Laboratorium). A fascinating unit indeed, and my first Hungarian tape recorder to enter my collection.
I am interested in acquiring the portable reel-to-reel recorders by ML, models "Riporter 5" and "Riporter 6". If anyone has one for sale or wants to part with one, please let me know in the comments.
Of course this unit is AC bias, AC erase.

Again, presented at the old desk (at this particular desk for the first time in THREE YEARS (let that sink in a bit)), are some moar MECHANICAL PENCILS.

More pencils, such as the Pentel GRAPH GEAR 1000 in all FIVE lead sizes, ranging from 0.3mm, 0.4mm, 0.5mm, 0.7mm, and 0.9mm lead.
Other pencils are shown, such as the Retro 1951 Tornado, the Pentel AM13, Bic Great Erase, and other various mechanical pencils and multi-pens (as long as they include a MECHANICAL PENCIL).
