Project 46 from the 200 in One kit. Built on breadboard. Pushing the button repeatedly gives pulsing DC into the transformer. Since the current is changing, you will get pulses on the secondary winding of the transformer. But pressing and holding the button, which results in no change in current after pressing, gives nothing from the transformer, until the button is released, which then makes the transformer output a quick pulse.
