This run is absolutely unbelievable. I set this during a chill no mic stream on my first 2/3 in a few days so this was a bit of a lucky run.

Got this eeehh-mazing run a few days ago after a series of small improvements. I had 32.520 before this (which was 9th WW) and jumped all the way to 3rd. Im very happy with the run. If I beat this run, its gonna be with the new entry, but I probably wont go for that.
Also if you didnt see, I already lost N64 Bowsers Castle WR :(

So glad I was able to finally make this glitch after getting so close so many times, feels good that I was able to make something this difficult. This was actually the 2nd time I made the glitch since the first time I choked HARD and got a 2:32.
Lap 1 was the only good lap in this run. The rest sucked, I could have saved over 2.5 seconds if didnt make any major mistakes and played it a little riskier. I want to improve my run to a 2:23 or lower here, since I want a cleaner run here, but Im happy leaving it here.

Lets gooooo. Finally got a new entry run after two chokes. This run is a decent start, but I may try to take this to a low 25 or a 24. This entry is probably comparable with Koopa Cape and rWS ultra in difficulty, for the record.
Also, Im now using Auto TT recorder for my videos now. Its much quicker and is better quality too :D

so I decided to play rpb while taking a break from dkjp and I somehow fluked 2 2/3s on the only 2 attempts I had on the second glitch
Run Analysis:
Lap 1: The only good lap of the run, with decent driving. The glitch was okay.
Lap 2: I lost my standstill mini turbo so I was forced to use my mushroom, I risked getting the hop on the last turn and failed, costing a lot of time. The glitch was pretty good.
Lap 3: This lap speaks for itself.

After 4 and a half years, I finally have a new hardest level beaten (including both mario maker games), and its the level Ive always wanted to beat ever since I got good at kaizo levels. Youre probably wondering why I decided to beat this when SMM2 has long been out, so heres why.
I decided to go and watch some of the earliest hardest mario maker levels, such as P-Break and U-Break, and I started to get hooked on those levels again. I hadnt played SMM 1 or 2 in a long time, but it made me want to order an SMM1 disk specifically so I could play P-Break. (I got one for £6 LOL)
Heres what my journey to beat this level was like. I got decent progress back in early 2019, getting to the second section several times, but I eventually stopped playing the game entirely and didnt return to mario maker until I got my SMM2 copy. Fast forward 4 and a half years and I got a new SMM1 disk. I started to get some good runs in practice, like doing the second to the end multiple times. I had quite a few issues tho, the level is weirdly made and jank (which makes sense because of how old it is) so my consistency would go from taking forever to passing the first part, to passing it every couple of minutes.
After I made it to the third section for the first time, I wanted to quit because I was getting annoyed and my hands were destroyed from playing with the WiiU gamepad constantly. I started to get really consistent however, so I decided not to quit. I started getting to the 3rd section quite a lot.
Today, I was possibly at the peak of my consistency and made it to the third section several times, as well as reaching the second section frequently. About 40 minutes before I cleared it, I failed the last trick of the level by failing to time the spin jump off the p switch. After 5 days of playing this level every day, I finally completed this iconic level :DDD
By the way, the parts get easier as they progress. The first part is extremely awkward and is a lot harder than it looks. The rest of the parts are more manageable, but the second part is still much harder than the last two. 85% of the levels difficulty comes from the first two parts, theyre much harder and longer than the last two.
STATS:
Third section: 10+
Final section: 2
Time taken to beat: 5 days, ~9 hours of play time.
I might start playing Mario Maker 2 again because its a lot more fun, but its nice to mess around with the SMM1 physics and mechanics that were removed from the second game.
Also I just wanna say, I was really lucky to make it out alive at the second section. Usually whenever I kick the big beetle to the left it screws me up.")
