Mixed Media Canvas...Found Objects...Assemblage...Latex LACE?!?!
What the heck?
Oh, yeah. You will fall under the spell of Sardine Cans and Latex Lace before we're through... (at least, I hope so!)
Creating an assemblage can be intimidating - but it doesn't have to be.
With a little attention to basic design principles, the process can be deeply satisfying and FUN!
Now, I don't claim to know everything there is to know about assemblage or Mixed Media...but I do ADORE these things with an unnatural passion, and cannot resist inflicting my obsessions on any who wander within my orbit.
You have now entered a CONTAGION ZONE - I'll be terribly disappointed if you emerge uncontaminated!
Latex Lace has become one of those quirky passions, and NOT in a kinky way!
Here's why I love it:
1. I'm CHEAP. C'mon - It's made from caulk. Caulk = Super Cheap.
2. It's sturdy AND flexible - both admirable qualities when it comes to the kind of yanking and bending that goes on around here.
3. De-molding it is weirdly addictive.
