The Mixed Media Effect template blends real-world elements with customizable digital effects to create an authentic hand-crafted look. With over 900 copy-and-paste effects, it has endless potential for editors to craft unique video collage animations again and again. Mixed media animations (aka analog animations, collage animations, or scrapbook animations) are traditionally made by printing each frame of video on paper, drawing or painting on each frame, compositing physical elements, photographing each frame, and then editing it all together. It's a very time-consuming process, and unnecessary if you have After Effects - which is the industry leader for compositing (the digital embodiment of a scrapbook collage).

Alter Your Footage
182 creative effects that change the look of your footage, such texture overlays, color grading, transition effects, and artistic, stylized visual treatments. These include 11 "art effects", taken from the Creation Art Effects template, which convert your footage into an animated work of art in various artistic mediums such as pencil sketch, watercolor, halftone prints, paper cutouts, and more. You'll also find 4 "paper stack collage" presets, which instantly deliver a dynamic animation with your footage composited on multiple sheets of torn-edged paper.

Draw, Paint, & Scratch

The strokes follow a path, so simply draw your path with the pen tool, and customize the stroke with the controls. Keyframe the path to make the stroke move with your footage. You'll have no shortage of animated text options for your collage animation. The ransom note effect uses hundreds of magazine font clippings to create characters that change on every frame. You can also spell out your words or phrases with dynamic, animated characters that are handwritten in pencil, paper-scratched, or custom-stroke characters that follow a path. For quick and easy titles, use one of the 11 animated text styles taken from the Creation Title Effects template. Simply edit the text and font with the Text tool, and customize the appearance with the controls. Last but not least, the Title Mashup effect is included!
