The 39 Britannia runs from Miway’s Meadowvale town centre bus terminal to Miway’s Renforth Transitway station. This route uses both 60 foot articulated buses, and regular 40 foot buses. This route operates 7 days a week, using only 40 foot buses on weekends and holidays.
1907 is a 2019 Novabus LFS Hybrid (HEV) bus, and is part of an order of 10 Novabus LFS HEV buses (1901-1910) These buses are powered with a Cummins 6.7L 280HP EPA 2019 Clean diesel engine (B6.7), and is paired with a BAE Systems Hybridrive electric direct drive (HDS 200) Series-ER and are Hybrid electric, They ride on ZF axles. If wanted in the future, they can be easily converted to be fully electric. These buses feature a special stop start feature that has been seen on the TTC’s Nova HEV’s, so when the door interlock on these is initiated the engine turns off. if the battery is low, the engine will stay on. these buses also use regenerative breaking like all other hybrid buses to feed power back into the battery that wasn’t used. These units were modified to be slower when accelerating, as you can see in this video. This bus was being floored on acceleration for most of the time in this video, so they are pretty slow. They have 4ONE Gemini seating on the inside, with automatic heating and cooling for passengers.
