MISUMI has developed a set of tools to extract button dies, eliminating the need to disassemble die components which was previously labor-intensive.
• Button dies can now be replaced directly on the die plate from the front, without needing to remove inserts or reverse the die.
• The new tool set does not require experienced tool makers, saving time and money with minimal training needed.
• The tool set comes with step-by-step instructions for use, including choosing the right puller for the inner diameter size of the button die.
• The tool set can be accessed by visiting MISUMI’s website at us.misumi-ec.com/vona2/detail/110100279310

• STEP 1:
o Measure the inner diameter of the button die.

• STEP 2:
o Choose the puller which applies to the inner diameter size.

o In this example we will use the puller range of 8.0 to 8.9 millimeters.

o Pullers may be damaged if they are used outside of applicable dimensions.

• STEP 3:
o Loosen the nut of the puller, then insert into the button die.

o Tighten the nut of the puller then confirm the retention from the step of the internal diameter of the button die.

• STEP 4:
o Using the wrench hand tighten the nut with two to three turns.

• STEP 5:
o Attach The Joint nut to the puller.

o Thread The Joint nut until it's flush with a button-die surface

• STEP 6:
o Attach the extractor to the hammer.

o Slide the hammer a few times to make sure the puller is attached properly.

• STEP 7:
o Continue to slide the hammer until the button die is extracted.

• STEP 8:
o And now you can remove the button die from the puller.

o The button tie extraction is now complete.
