Mistfall Hunter just crossed a million players, and Bellring marked it with the biggest update post since launch. Brandrgarde Solo Mode is officially confirmed for both Normal and Cataclysm difficulties, arriving mid Season 1 in September — that's the single most requested thing since release, and they went further than most people expected.
There's also a free celebration bundle sitting in your in-game mail right now, but you have to log in before August 12 at 12:00 UTC to claim it. Plus the full Season 1 roadmap through to Season 2, the August 6 client update, and the Illegal Teaming clarification that cleared up a translation error which had a lot of people worried they'd get penalized for normal play.
I've also covered what still isn't fixed, because a roadmap isn't the whole picture. Stuttering and latency are only "under investigation" with no date attached, PvP lag is the loudest complaint in the replies, and a pure PvE-only mode is still on the roadmap with no timeline.
