Missy is a Cat-Faced Orb Weaver - Araneus gemmoides. She would have died last fall, but decided to hang around with us for the winter. She gets scared easily, but once she recognizes me, is no longer threatened. Spiders are much smarter and more gentle than I ever imagined.
