Genifer is a Phidippus Regius aka Regal Jumping Spider. There are those who study entomology who suggest this is just a "display", but anyone who has spent 20 minutes with one can tell the difference. Genifer initially raised both front legs and exposed her fangs. But after several days, she now appears to "play" in the mirror, for lack of a better description. This is NOT as some would have you believe, a defensive display.
