Steven Spielberg’s sci-fi classic Minority Report arrives on 4K Ultra HD from Paramount Pictures, featuring a new Dolby Vision presentation and a noticeable upgrade in picture quality.
Presented in its original 2.39:1 aspect ratio, the new 4K transfer delivers improved detail, refined contrast, and a natural layer of film grain that preserves the cinematic look of the film. Audio comes in DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 — solid and punchy, though it’s hard not to wish for a Dolby Atmos upgrade.
Packaging is simple, with the film housed in a slimline Amaray containing the 4K disc, a Blu-ray for special features, and a digital code. Bonus features include the bulk of the archival content from previous releases, with no new extras produced for this edition.
This may not be the definitive release Minority Report deserves, but it’s still the best the film has looked on home media to date.
