For this video I wanted to create something that was directly inspired by Minori...and if you don't know who that is, you should because she is a very popular shironuri artist :D All of her creations are so beautiful and ethereal.

I've noticed that her signature is cut crease makeup decorated with more organic elements, such as leaf patterns extending out from the cut crease. So I decided to put my own spin on it by making a more fancy cut crease look. I didn't want to do an exact look of hers though because a lot of people seem to copy that already (not that it's bad, but I just like doing my own thing).

So I took inspiration from a specific Matisse artwork called The Parakeet and the Mermaid.

I also made custom false eyelashes for this look, but it was the wrong shade of pink so I scrapped it.

I wanted to whip up something unique that could be completed quickly since my props for my 7 Deadly Sins look Pride didn't come in. If you ever feel bored with your makeup...simply experiment with makeup technques you already know :D And yes my 7 Deadly Sins series will be coming back! There's a new one coming up after this video.

For this video I was also sent a new brush set from Coastal Scents for review. I actually like the brushes a lot; I've been using them over the past few weeks. I also demonstrated 3 of the brushes here in this video.

Overall these are pretty good brushes but the brush handles come loose easily which is a problem for me. If you don't mind that, this is quite a steal at $11.95.
