Minnesota is taking Texas to court in an effort to bring an ICE agent back to the state to face charges stemming from a January shooting.

ICE agent Christian Castro is accused of shooting into a Minnesota home during an operation and striking someone in the leg. Minnesota officials charged Castro with five counts, including four counts of second-degree assault and one count of falsely reporting a crime.

Castro was arrested in Texas in May, but Minnesota says Gov. Greg Abbott has not honored its request to extradite him. Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison is now suing in an effort to force the extradition.
