Every summer in June, K-12 earth science teachers come from the far reaches of the state to attend the Minnesota Minerals Education Workshop, a three-day tactile and multi-sensory workshop. The workshop allows teachers to work hands-on in a classroom or go on guided field trips with MMEW instructors to better understand Minnesota’s geologic history and mineral resources. The MMEW experience is designed to help teachers develop engaging earth science curriculum and activities for their students.
