In July 2024, while in Brisbane for the opening of her exhibition ‘Sculpting the Senses’ at GOMA, Dutch fashion designer Iris van Herpen, with her partner and collaborator Salvador Breed, was invited to visit Minjerribah – North Stradbroke Island. Iris and Salvador’s exchange with Quandamooka artists fostered a rich, first-hand understanding of Australia’s extraordinary First Nations culture.

This project has been assisted by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through the Embassy of Kingdom of the Netherlands, Australia.
