In Etobicoke, Ont., AI and Digital Innovation Minister Evan Solomon announces that the federal government is investing $195 million through the Strategic Response Fund in Xanadu Quantum Technologies. The funding will support Xanadu’s OPTIMISM project, an initiative to establish advanced semiconductor and photonic manufacturing capabilities for Canada’s quantum technology supply chain.

Also present are James Maloney (Liberal MP, Etobicoke—Lakeshore, Ontario) and Christian Weedbrook (CEO of Xanadu Quantum Technologies).
