"God's presence makes a crowd a church" - Richard Baxter

What transforms that crowd into a church is not the music, the building, the preaching, or even the shared theology. It's the presence of God himself. He is the one who constitutes the gathering as something more than human assembly. Without him, you have a religious event. With him, you have the body of Christ actually meeting with their Lord.

Psalm 105:4 encourages us to “seek the LORD and his strength; seek his presence continually!” What does it mean to "seek God's presence continually" and how can we be committed to the authority, sufficiency, and inerrancy of God's Word but still desire to experience the active presence of God when we meet on Sunday mornings? That's the topic David and Bob talk in this episode of Sound Plus Doctrine.
