"Audio Soundcheck" is a professionally released HiFi test record pressed on MiniDisc, released by German label PHONO / Vereinigte Motor-Verlage GmbH & Co. KG in 1992.

This 49-track gem is filled with sine tones, pink noise, sweeps, level tones, pulse signals, and of course terrible stock library music (it just wouldn't be a 1990s test record without a version of Pachelbel's Canon in D!), all of which is designed to make sure you've calibrated your HiFi MiniDisc system to provide your golden ears with the highest stereo audio reproduction quality possible in the early 1990s.

Played here on our museum's trusty Sony MZ-1 Walkman (the first portable MiniDisc player/recorder), it just doesn't get any better than this.
