For test purposes and to get a feel for if my "bolt up to align" method worked I'm running it back and forth with an 18 volt cordless drill with the clutch set at the lowest slip setting. This is my first complete machine conversion. I've changed and modified other machines, and I converted a Rand controlled Hurco to Mach 3 and Gecko Drive before. If this coversion works out ok I'll convert the 8x18 too.

This is a THK ball screw I bought because I got a deal on it. If I went shopping for a screw for this conversion I would have gotten one about 2 inches longer.
