I started out with a kit and some parts from iflight-rc.com The reason I chose this company is because of the quality they put into their motors. I have changed out the stock motors on my Phantom 1 and my Phantom 2 with the iPower motors. They are powerful but above all that they have to be one of the smoothest motors I have seen. My 450 also has this motor along with the 250 which I am showing here. Along with the frame and motors I changed out the CC3D controller and put the APM 2.6 along with V1 of the 3D Telemetry radio so I could use Mission Planner. I have a GPS with Compass and today I installed my FPV camera and 200mw transmitter.
I was told that I may have trouble with all the electronics being so close to each other. That was an understatement!! I had so many issues that for a moment was about to give up. I even had a flyaway that ended up in the woods, and if it had not been for the Telemetry pointing out its last position in Mission planner I would not be doing this review! it took me within 20ft of where it was waiting for me. So when I did get it back home I started from scratch.
After trial and error and positioning the electronics in different locations I think I have found the perfect harmony. As you will see in the video it is Amazingly stable and when I flip it into Loiter it does not even move more than a few inches. And sending it out on and Auto mission is so cool. It is like a rocket to fly and I am very glad I did not give up when it would have been easy to do!
