I am not a Chef just a Home Cook. I make simple and easy recipes.
I grew up on garden food and southern home cooking. I will be sharing some recipes that my Momma made and other family recipes and things I made for my family when my kids were growing up. I also look for new things to make online or recipe books and will make it and give it a try.
Minestrone Hamburger Helper Casserole:
Ingredients:
1 lb lean ground beef
1/2 cup yellow onion, chopped
1 tsp garlic, minced
1 box Hamburger Helper lasagna
1 cup water
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
2 stalks celery, chopped (1 cup)
1 can (15.25 oz) whole kernel corn, undrained
1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
Grated Parmesan cheese, if desired
Directions:
Heat oven to 400°F. In 12-inch skillet, cook beef, onion and garlic over medium-high heat, stirring frequently, until beef is brown; drain grease.
Stir in uncooked Pasta, Sauce Mix and remaining ingredients except cheese. Pour into ungreased 3-quart casserole.
Cover; bake 45 minutes. Serve with cheese.
Tip: No more Italian seasoning? Just use dried oregano or basil--or a combination of the two--instead.
